The small room had been updated but this is obviously an old property with a great location. The hallways are dark and the flooring is very filthy and the stairway is even worse. They did call us when the room was ready and since we had checked in online we basically grabbed the keys and headed to room 423. We arrived early and were allowed to park but early check in was not available. For our 34th anniversary we decided to drop the $500 per night for the ocean front room so highly rated on trip advisor. We are regulars to Pismo and have eaten at the Sea Venture several times but never stayed there. If we plan another trip to Pismo Beach we will definitely choose SeaVenture again.…
They seemed willing to go out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. The entire staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered room service from the restaurant which was efficient, presented beautifully and everything was delicious. We sleep with white noise and it was not enough to disturb our rest. It does seem to be an older building and the rooms are not as soundproof as other hotels, so if you are sensitive to noise I would take note. A few steps to a beautiful and clean beach, walking distance to the pier and many dining and shopping options. There was always plenty of parking in the parking garage, the $25 daily parking fee was included in our total bill and was made very clear through all communication. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the private jacuzzi is worth every penny and the fireplace was a cozy touch.
SEA VENTURE HOTEL PISMO CALIFORNIA FULL
Overall our stay was wonderful! We chose the Deluxe King Room and even though we didn't choose a full ocean view, we still had a partial ocean view from our deck. My husband and I chose SeaVenture because of the private jacuzzi and we were not disappointed. We stayed only one night, but decided last minute to travel a little further north, however we wished we would have stayed at SeaVenture for the second night. Keep in mind this is not a 4 or 5 Star hotel, so not everything is fancy and brand new (there is some visible wear), but the value and level of luxury is perfectly fine and comparable with 4 Star Hotels. All staff we encountered was extremely friendly and professional. We did not try the restaurant on the roof top this time, perhaps next time. Restaurants are also right there just 2 (small) blocks away. Walk over to the world famous pier or just stroll on the beach. The hotel is right at the beach which was one of the main reasons why we chose it, walk out the door an hit the beach within a few steps. It was pitch black at night, so that was a better time to get in without wondering if anyone is watching. We had street view, so during daylight anyone across the street could see you get into the jacuzzi. The room was light, bright and just big enough with a very comfortable King size bed, a large flat screen TV, Keurig, refrigerator, wet bar, shower, fireplace and a jacuzzi on the balcony. Plexiglass shields were across the entire reception desk with holes to reach for the keys, hand sanitizer was also readily available, after all it is still the beginning of 2021 with Covid restrictions. But the human interaction check-in process was quick and she did a fantastic job. Check in was mostly contactless until we needed to pickup the room key and provide the CC and ID which is standard for any hotel check-in. We were informed that check-in was at 3pm, however we got a text and our room was available 30 min sooner. On day of arrival, we received a text reminder by the automated system, which we were able to text back and ask questions. We made reservations online through their website, while other travel websites didn't show vacancy, the SeaVenture website did have the room we wanted.
